”I carry my father’s name, Moshe Litvak z”l, who was killed defending Negba in 1948, 7 months before I was born. During the War of Attrition, my brother Arnon Litvak z”l was killed as a reserve officer. He was 26 and left behind a widow and two young children. Thousands of families are joining the bereaved circle. The war must end and killing on both sides must end. We, the bereaved Israeli and Palestinian members of the Parents Circle – Families Forum, pain and grieve anew with each family that is added to the circle of bereavement.

We will continue to act in spite of everything and because of everything, to prevent bereavement and pain from all the people who live here.

Killing does not further the goals of either nation.
