We knew the upcoming novel, Apeirogon, based on the stories of bereaved members, Rami Elhanan and Bassam Aramin, would be a big moment for the Parents Circle, but we didn’t realize it would be THIS big.
Just this week, Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners acquired the rights to Apeirogon, written by National Book Award winner Colum McCann.
Oprah Magazine called Apeirogon, a “profound prayer for peace.”
Added McCann: “I’m delighted that the story of Rami and Bassam will be in their [Ambilin’s] hands. The word ‘apeirogon’ means a shape with a countably infinite number of sides, and if anyone can capture the near-infinite shades and nuances of our times, it is the team at Amblin.”
Apeirogon chronicles the unlikely friendship between two fathers — an Israeli and a Palestinian — who each lost a daughter to violence and turned their grief into action and activism. The epic story is told against the backdrop of unresolved tensions in the heart of the Holy Land.
Don’t miss the opportunity to find out what all the hype is about.
