Over the summer, a Hezbollah rocket hit a soccer field and killed 12 children in the Druze town of Majdal Shams, in northern Israel.
The Parents Circle went to meet the grieving parents who are also full of hope and a deep desire to live in peace and without violence. The families we met felt “at home” with us because we – those who have lost what is most precious – understand, without words, what this pain is.
They saw our strength, the power of sharing. New members of the forum shared their stories, creating moments of deep connection, and the tears flowed naturally.

Tears know no borders. Tears have no ethnic identity. They simply tell of the love that remains, the memory that will never fade, and our shared desire—to remember and to live in a better world of peace and reconciliation.
Through partnerships like these, we grow the movement for peace and reconciliation.
