What is a Dialogue Meeting?

Bereaved Palestinian and Israeli members speak at Dialogue Meetings all around the world. You can host a Dialogue Meeting in your community, either virtually or in person, and hear our members’ stories of loss, their extraordinary choice for reconciliation rather than revenge, and about the reality on the ground for peace builders.

What we provide

The Dialogue Meeting program is approximately one hour, always with one bereaved Palestinian and one bereaved Israeli member speaking together, and answering questions. They share their stories of loss and their unique choice of reconciliation rather than revenge. Their stories generate empathy, humanization, and understanding for the “other” side. Our members focus on their personal experience, and share their wisdom for finding hope and building a community for peace.

We line up the speakers, handle the registration, provide bios and pictures of speakers, and language for you to use to promote the event.
We can design promotional material and handle RSVPs upon request.
After the event, we will send out a letter to attendees, thanking them for their interest and support.

What we request

Virtual Dialogue Meetings

This can be completely virtual like a webinar, or you can host an in-person audience while the speakers zoom in. Virtual programs are the most flexible with timing.

Honorarium: An honorarium of $1,000 to support the peacebuilding work of the Parents Circle.
Timing: Taking into consideration the time difference between the US and Israel-Palestine, please schedule the program Sunday – Thursday in the morning or early afternoon.

In-Person Dialogue Meetings

Parents Circle members visit the U.S. a couple of times per year. In-person meetings happen while our speakers are already travelling, so get in touch early and we will look for a date on an upcoming trip.

Honorarium: $2,500 honorarium to support our peacebuilders.
Travel: If outside our planned itinerary, we may request additional support with travel to the city where the presentation is held.
Accommodation: If outside our planned itinerary, we may request additional support with local hotel accommodations for the two speakers.

Listening from the Heart

Our transformative dialogue education program introduces voices of bereaved Palestinians and Israelis, alongside a comprehensive facilitation guide. It was developed with Georgetown University and endorsed by the American Federation of Teachers, and is a good fit for classrooms and community education.

Listening from the Heart Training

Our staff can facilitate a workshop for your educators or community leaders, tailored to your needs: including length, content, and focus.

Travel: We ask you cover domestic travel and accommodations for our facilitator.
