After years of appeals, last June the court ruled that the Parents Circle could resume holding Dialogue Meetings in schools. The first meetings took place last week - we've met over 300 students already.

Palestinians are denied entry to Israel, so these meetings look different than they used to. It is important for us to continue exposing students to peace nonetheless.

Bereaved Israeli PCFF members shared about their loss and choice to work for dialogue, reconciliation, and peace. Alongside their personal stories, the Israeli members share about the relationships they've built with Palestinian partners and tell about the reality for Palestinians in the West Bank. This is an opportunity for students to learn about Palestinians, who are unable to join these meetings because of the closure.

A 12th-grade student wrote the following after meeting Liora Eilon, whose son Tal was killed in Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7, 2023:
“I never really thought it was possible to resolve the conflict with the Palestinians, but after listening to Liora, I became a little more convinced. I still need to think about the things that were said, but it made me pay attention to other perspectives. I think it is very important for students to hear views that are different from their own, because conversations like these are exactly what can open us up to ideas that are different from what we think.”

Out of these interactions comes change. Not the kind of change that makes headlines, but a more personal and profound shift in perspective.
