This message was sent to the Tree of Life – Or L’Simcha Congregation today on behalf of the bereaved Israeli and Palestinian members of the Parents Circle:
To the Congregation of Tree of Life – Or L’Simcha,
On behalf of the Parents Circle – Families Forum, we offer our deepest condolences for the horrific loss of life in the Tree of Life-Or L’Simcha community as a result of the heinous shooting last Saturday in Pittsburgh.
Our bereaved Israeli and Palestinian members know all too well the price of hatred and violence and the deep pain that is left by such a loss. We stand together with you, in this very dark time, to offer our support and sympathy to your congregation and the wider Pittsburgh community and to pay tribute to those who senselessly lost their lives.
Four years ago two of our bereaved Israeli and Palestinian members were honored to visit Pittsburgh to bring their messages of hope to inspire healing and peace. They spoke with Muslim and Jewish women, university students and the Jewish community in Squirrel Hill. To counter such radical hate, our bereaved members offer their radical love to the Tree of Life-Or L’Simcha congregation and the Pittsburgh community.
In peace,
